A post office called Nevada has been in operation since 1854. == Geography == According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.03 square miles (2.67 km2), all land. == Demographics == === 2010 census === As of the census of 2010, there were 760 people, 295 households, and 203 families living in the village. The population density was 737.9 inhabitants per square mile (284.9/km2). There were 334 housing units at an average density of 324.3 per square mile (125.2/km2). The racial makeup of the village was 97.1% White, 0.1% Native American, 0.7% from other races, and 2.1% from two or more races (The Hightowers).
